Public policy and accountability record

Archive Methodology

How the three supplied books are preserved, described, cited, and contextualized.

Archive Methodology#

Source preservation#

The three supplied PDFs are stored byte-for-byte in content/books/sources/, named with stable public identifiers, and recorded with SHA-256 hashes. The public site does not silently edit the binaries.

Access model#

Each book has an indexed HTML wrapper with a synopsis, bibliographic record, integrity hash, selected-entry guide, themes, limitations, and direct first-party Read and Download controls. Raw PDFs are served by controlled PHP routes and are excluded from the XML sitemap.

Context before quotation#

The archive prefers paraphrase and short excerpts. It does not use violent passages as promotional pull quotes. Quotations preserve original spelling and identify the book and page.

Personal recollection versus fact#

A statement in a book is primary evidence that the statement was published. It is not independent proof that the described event, institution, motive, or allegation is accurate.

Discovery#

All three books appear in the first-level navigation, homepage, footer, local search, sitemap wrapper pages, series page, timeline, themes, and related-content routes. A reader can reach any complete book from the homepage in no more than two clicks.

Book Three edition lineage#

The canonical Book Three source is the supplied Cognitive Liberty Edition draft. The website exposes the complete PDF and editable DOCX through controlled routes and records separate checksums. The prior website edition is superseded in the public catalog; its earlier checksum remains documented in the v2.0.0 changelog and release records rather than being presented as the current source.
