Reverse chronology can intensify shock because the opening pages present the persona at or near its most developed form. It can also complicate causality: later interpretations are read before earlier uncertainty, and the reader may treat a finished mythology as if it existed from the beginning.
A chronological index helps readers see change without modifying the artifact.

*Amianism* returns to forward movement. Its dated entries move from audit through systems analysis to responsibility and maintenance. This formal change mirrors the ethical one: the narrative is no longer digging toward an origin myth but trying to live into a future.
